Day 1: Ulaanbataar-Astana

Your driver will pick you up at the International Airport and drives you to Astana City. After arrival transfer to the hotel. Today you will have a city tour. First of all you will visit complex «Astana – Baiterek». The unique construction of that complex is a symbol of Astana. The viewing platform is located at the height of 97 meters and from the height of the bird’s flight you can see the panoramic view of a new capital of Kazakhstan. Also after walking around the city you will have time to visit the singing fountains alley. The wide alley cuts the left river-bank into two parts. The object is extremely difficult. The parkway represents a three-level gallery type construction, which consists of two pavilions, glass transition-passes, open galleries, green lawns, colorful sidewalks and huge bowls with musical fountains. Night is in a hotel.

Day 2: Astana – Almaty

After breakfast check-out and transfer to railway station. Departure to Almaty by day train. Arrival to Almaty and transfer to the hotel. Night in the hotel.

Day 3: Almaty grand tour

Breakfast at the hotel.The tour starts with sightseeing of central part of Almaty. You will know more about history and development of the Southern capital of Kazakhstan and see its major attractions. You will visit a popular place for town people – the Green Bazaar, where it is impossible to stop yourself make some shopping. It is the great chance to experience an atmosphere of the real eastern market, its colors, smells and crowds. There you can obtain famous Oriental sweets, but don’t forget to bargain.Then the tour will continue in one of the oldest Almaty parks – Panfilov Park, where one of the most beautiful wooden building in the world – Zenkov Cathedral is located. You will also visit the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame, dedicated to the memory of the fighters who died for freedom and independence of the country.After exploration of sport, cultural and business areas of the city you will get to the Medeo Gorge, well known due to the highest mountain skating rink in the world and the dam, protecting the city from dangerous mudflow. Next destination will be the Kok-Tobe hill, where the tallest TV tower in the world is located (if to count from the sea level) and where you will get by the picturesque winding mountain road. In Kok-Tobe Park you can stroll along the winding paths of the park, admire the magnificent panorama of the city from the special observation deck and visit the shop of national souvenirs.The tour ends with the short ride from the top of the hill to the center of the city by the famous Almaty cableway. Night stay is in the hotel.

Day 4: Almaty-Almaty big Almaty lake-Almaty

Breakfast at the hotel.The tour continues with driving to the Big Almaty gorge, where at an altitude of 2,510 m above sea level located the Big Almaty Lake – one of the most picturesque lakes in Trans-Ili Alatau. The lake is very beautiful, especially when its blue surface is absolutely calm, and it reflects the sky and surrounding mountains. The Big Almaty lake was formed as a result of movement of an ancient glacier. Thanks to high-mountain location the water in the lake is always cool – even in July the water temperature does not exceed 10 degrees.

The lake is a source of potable water for Almaty city that is why the access of tourists to the lake is limited. The tour route lies higher the Big Almaty Lake, i.e. at the altitude of 3300 meters above sea level, where scientific premises for astronomical and space researches have settled down. Here, at the basis of the Big Almaty peak, you can enjoy a fascinating panorama of mountains and the Big Almaty lake, which is surrounded by the picturesque mountain peaks covered with Tian-Shan fir-trees, aspen and juniper.On the way back to the town you will visit the Falcon Farm, where you will enjoy a spectacular show with specially trained hawks – hunting together with them is one of the most unique features of the Kazakh way of life. At 20:00 return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 5: Almaty – Bishkek (250km). Our “Central Asia travel” program goes to Bishkek

Today we will have a transfer to Bishkek city. Bishkek city is the capital and the largest city of Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek is situated at about 800 meters (2,600 ft) altitude near the northern range of the Kyrgyz Ala Too range. This range is an extension of the Tian Shan mountains, which rises up to 4,855 meters (15,928 ft) and provides a spectacular backdrop to the city. The distance from Almaty city to Bishkek is 250 km. It will take about 4 hours to transfer. On the way you will pass a check point. You will be transferred to your hotel to have a rest.

Day 6: Bishkek – Ala Archa – Bishkek City Tour (60km).

Breakfast at the hotel. Today day we will visit Ala Archa gorge. It is a Natural Park. At Soviet time only V.I.P. people had permissions to go for a walk there. The Ala Archa gorge is on a spur of the Tien Shan mountain range. It is just 45 km from Bishkek. You can have a short hiking tour to see a panoramic view of the gorge. Afterwards we will return to Bishkek. Lunch at a local restaurant. The second part of the day is dedicated to the City Tour. It includes the following destinations: the Pobeda Square (Victory Square),Duboviy Park (Oak Park), central Ala-Too Square, the History Museum, National philharmonic and many other places of interest. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Bishkek – Chon Kemin (170km).

The day starts with breakfast at 8 o’clock. Then you will be driven to Chon Kemin gorge. On your way to the gorge you will visit Burana Tower. It is a minaret, which dates back to the 11th century. You can climb to the top if you wish to experience the same view that Great Silk Road travelers saw themselves. The Burana Tower served as a sign along the Great Silk Road to let travelers know there was a city and place to have a rest. Nearby you will see an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). These grave-stones look like warriors as they were made in honor of brave soldiers, who died for their Motherland. After your excursion there is a scenic transfer to Chon Kemin gorge. Night is in the guesthouse.

Day 8: Chon Kemin – Karakol (310km)

After breakfast you will be transferred to the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake, which is the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608 m. above the sea level). The lake is called “the Pearl of Central Asia”. For more than 1 500 years local people considered the lake to be a sacred one. You can come up to the lake and see mountains all around it. Today you will drive along the whole northern shore and arrive to Karakol town. Also we will visit a place with ancient stone patterns – petrogliphs. Your dinner will be arranged in a local restaurant. Night is in the guesthouse.

Day 9: Karakol – Jeti Oguz – Bokonbaevo (140km)

After breakfast we will drive to Jeti Oguz gorge. It’s famous for its red rocks formations that have a name Seven Bulls – Jeti Oguz. Also you will see there the Broken Heart Mountain. We will make many photos there and if you want it is possible to go on a top of a mountain (20 minutes) to see a panoramic view of the gorge. Lunch. There are yurts in the gorge and people can offer you to drink Kymys. It is a national drink that is made of mare’s milk, and it is an alcoholic drink similar to beer. Dinner will be served in the Bokonbaevo guesthouse, where you will also spend a night. We will drive there along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.

Day 10: Bokonbaevo – Bishkek (280km) – Osh

After breakfast we will drive to Bishkek city. This time we will drive along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. This is a great chance to see the whole lake from all sights. Arrive to Airport. Take a flight to Osh. Dinner and night stay at the Guesthouse in Osh.

Day 11: Osh city tour – (Batken border) – Isfara – Tajikistan (390km)

In Osh city you will have a walk and will get to visit a famous and special place – Suleiman Mountain. Suleiman Too (Solomon’s Mountain) is situated in the city center and it is considered a place of pilgrimage for local Muslims, because according to the legend, biblical prophet Solomon (who is Suleiman in the Koran) was buried at the foot hills of it. After a visit we start our way to the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. At the Tajik border your local guide will meet you and then you will continue your way to Khojand. Then we continue our “Central Asia travel” program in Tajikistan part.  A traditional dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The night is spent at a Guesthouse.

Day 12: Iskandar Lake

Today we continue to walk to Fans mountains (2195 m), to wonder with one of the legendary lake Iskandarkul of the region. Walk through the village of Saratog. As you travel along, there will be plenty of stops to take photos at the best delightful points. Get a taste of local life with traditional home. Overnight stay at the Gesthouse.

Day 13: Saratog – Khodjand

In the morning transfer to Khojand (221 km, 4-5) through the tunnel Shahristan. Then visit one of the most ancient city of Istaravshan. Also pay a visit to the local bazaar, the architectural complex Khazrati Shoh, which consists of the mausoleum Khazrati Shoh, the tomb of brother Kusam Ibn Abbas, the mausoleum of Khudoyar Valami and the mosque Namazgah (19th century). We leave to Mug-Teppa, which is one of the most ancient settlements in Istaravshan. Arrival to Khodjand and overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 14: Khodjand

In the morning we start our trip to Khodjand. We will visit the following places: the Archaeological Museum, Sheikh Muslikhiddin Mosque, “Paishanbe bazaar”, which is the largest market in Tajikistan, Arbob Palace (XX century), as well as the symbol of friendship of peoples – Kairakum hydroelectric station, which is called the “Tajik Sea.” Walk through the park Kamola Khojandi and also pay a visit to the monument of Ismoili Somoni and a modern museum. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 15: Khodjand – Oybek (Bekobod) or Jartepa (Samarkand) – Urgut (450 km).

After breakfast transfer to the Tajikistan-Uzbekistan border. Arrival to “Oybek” check-point or (“Jartepa”)  and you will be meet by a Trip Orient representative at 10:00 a.m. Continue your “Central Asia travel” program by visiting Uzbekitan.

Transfer to Urgut, a village which is stuated not far from Samarkand (50km). Transfer to the Guesthouse and have free time, stroll the vilage real life and overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 16: Urgut – Shaxrisabz – Samarkand (90 km)

Breakfast. Drive to Shahrisabz over the Taxta Karacha Pass (1700m). You will admire the beautiful mountainous landscape on your way. The city tour in Shahrisabz: visit the ruins of the Ak-Saray Palace, the Dor-Tilovat complex and Dor-us-Saodat. Back to Samarkand. Lunch at Ming Archa. Free time. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 17: Samarkand

After breakfast we start to city tour by visiting the following attractions of Samarkand:  old centre, Registan, taking in the main square, the impressive Bibi-Khanume mosque, which was rebuilt after a Russian conquest in 1870. We also pay a visit to Shakhi-Zinda Necropolises, which is probably one of the most significant religious complexes in Samarkand and monument of unique architecture in whole Central Asia. Then we visit the local Siyab Bazaar with its amazing colorful oriental shops and markets. The late afternoon and evening are left free for private exploration.(Optional activity: visit the Registan light show).Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 18: Samarkand

After breakfast we take a 10 minutes ride above the Afrasiyab remains and archaeological expedition, visit “Afrasiyab” museum and observatory of “Ulugbek”. Lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch we will have time to explore the Samarkand’s silk paper workshop “Meros”. Optional: to visit the “Xorvenko” old wineries. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 19: Samarkand – Bukhara (300 km)

After breakfast check-out and transfer to railway station to depart to Bukhara. After arrival to Bukhara transfer to the hotel and enjoy your free time. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 20: Bukhara

We start our city tour at 9 amby visiting Bukhara’s old centre, taking in the main square, the impressive mausoleum Ismail Samanid, Chashma-i Ayub mausoleum, Bolo Khauz Mosque and the Ark, a Citadel, which was rebuilt many times are amongst other highlights. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we also visit Minaret Kalian, Mosque Kalian, Madrassah of Miri-Arab, Madrassah of Ulughbek, Madrassah of Abdulazizkhan and Hanaka & Madrassah of Nadir Divan Begui. Bukhara is one of the most ancient centres of Uzbekistan. We cross a spectacular city centre, where we can see the caravan sarays and silk markets and workshops. Diner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 21: Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we take a ride by our bus to visit the summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara, Ensemble of Bakha-ad-Din Nakshband, Chor minor. Lunch is served at a local restaurant and transfer to your beautiful hotel. The evening is left free to explore the cities lively nightlife and excellent panorama. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 22: Bukhara – Khiva

After breakfast we will leave for Khiva. The travel time is approximately 6-7 hours. On our way to Khiva, which it was a historical route, which was originally crossed by camel Caravans we will stop off to see the Kyzyl-Kum Desert and have a lunch at “Chayxana”, a local Tea house. Arrival to Khiva and transfer to the hotel. The late afternoon and evening are left free for private exploration. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 23: Khiva

After breakfast we will pay a visit to Kunya-Ark Fortress (Castle Khana), Ichan Kala, Tower Kalta Minor, Madrassah Muhammad Amin Khan, Juma Mosque with 212 wooden supports and Minaret, Tash Khauli, the Mosque Ark, the Minaret of Islam Khodja, the Minaret of the main Vizir and Caravansaray of Allakhuli-Khan. Lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch visit the Memorial of Pakhlavan Makhmud, Khiva Bazaar and the craft centers of Khiva. The evening is left free to relax or explore you surrounds as you see fit. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 24: Khiva – Urgench – Tashkent (by train)

Visit outsight of Khiva. Pay a visit to Nurulla bai Saray and Khiva Bazaar. Lunch is served on the shores of the lake. We taste of the fish from “Amudarya”. Transfer to the train station. Saying goodbye to our driver. Leave for Tashkent by the night train. Take a train to Tashkent at 14:35. Overnight in the train.

Day 25: Tashkent – Europe

07:08 Arrival to Tashkent at 07:07. Meeting at the train station. After breakfast in the city transfer to the hotel  or airport depending on the available flight.

After breakfast we will drive to Jeti Oguz gorge. It’s famous for its red rocks formations that have a name Seven Bulls – Jeti Oguz. Also you will see there the Broken Heart Mountain. We will make many photos there and if you want it is possible to go on a top of a mountain (20 minutes) to see a panoramic view of the gorge. Lunch. There are yurts in the gorge and people can offer you to drink Kymys. It is a national drink that is made of mare’s milk, and it is an alcoholic drink similar to beer. Dinner will be served in the Bokonbaevo guesthouse, where you will also spend a night. We will drive there along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.

Day 10: Bokonbaevo – Bishkek (280km) – Osh

After breakfast we will drive to Bishkek city. This time we will drive along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. This is a great chance to see the whole lake from all sights. Arrive to Airport. Take a flight to Osh. Dinner and night stay at the Guesthouse in Osh.

Day 11: Osh city tour – (Batken border) – Isfara – Tajikistan (390km)

In Osh city you will have a walk and will get to visit a famous and special place – Suleiman Mountain. Suleiman Too (Solomon’s Mountain) is situated in the city center and it is considered a place of pilgrimage for local Muslims, because according to the legend, biblical prophet Solomon (who is Suleiman in the Koran) was buried at the foot hills of it. After a visit we start our way to the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. At the Tajik border your local guide will meet you and then you will continue your way to Khojand. Then we continue our “Central Asia travel” program in Tajikistan part.  A traditional dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The night is spent at a Guesthouse.

Day 12: Iskandar Lake

Today we continue to walk to Fans mountains (2195 m), to wonder with one of the legendary lake Iskandarkul of the region. Walk through the village of Saratog. As you travel along, there will be plenty of stops to take photos at the best delightful points. Get a taste of local life with traditional home. Overnight stay at the Gesthouse.

Day 13: Saratog – Khodjand

In the morning transfer to Khojand (221 km, 4-5) through the tunnel Shahristan. Then visit one of the most ancient city of Istaravshan. Also pay a visit to the local bazaar, the architectural complex Khazrati Shoh, which consists of the mausoleum Khazrati Shoh, the tomb of brother Kusam Ibn Abbas, the mausoleum of Khudoyar Valami and the mosque Namazgah (19th century). We leave to Mug-Teppa, which is one of the most ancient settlements in Istaravshan. Arrival to Khodjand and overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 14: Khodjand

In the morning we start our trip to Khodjand. We will visit the following places: the Archaeological Museum, Sheikh Muslikhiddin Mosque, “Paishanbe bazaar”, which is the largest market in Tajikistan, Arbob Palace (XX century), as well as the symbol of friendship of peoples – Kairakum hydroelectric station, which is called the “Tajik Sea.” Walk through the park Kamola Khojandi and also pay a visit to the monument of Ismoili Somoni and a modern museum. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 15: Khodjand – Oybek (Bekobod) or Jartepa (Samarkand) – Urgut (450 km).

After breakfast transfer to the Tajikistan-Uzbekistan border. Arrival to “Oybek” check-point or (“Jartepa”)  and you will be meet by a Trip Orient representative at 10:00 a.m. Continue your “Central Asia travel” program by visiting Uzbekitan.

Transfer to Urgut, a village which is stuated not far from Samarkand (50km). Transfer to the Guesthouse and have free time, stroll the vilage real life and overnight stay at the Guesthouse.

Day 16: Urgut – Shaxrisabz – Samarkand (90 km)

Breakfast. Drive to Shahrisabz over the Taxta Karacha Pass (1700m). You will admire the beautiful mountainous landscape on your way. The city tour in Shahrisabz: visit the ruins of the Ak-Saray Palace, the Dor-Tilovat complex and Dor-us-Saodat. Back to Samarkand. Lunch at Ming Archa. Free time. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 17: Samarkand

After breakfast we start to city tour by visiting the following attractions of Samarkand:  old centre, Registan, taking in the main square, the impressive Bibi-Khanume mosque, which was rebuilt after a Russian conquest in 1870. We also pay a visit to Shakhi-Zinda Necropolises, which is probably one of the most significant religious complexes in Samarkand and monument of unique architecture in whole Central Asia. Then we visit the local Siyab Bazaar with its amazing colorful oriental shops and markets. The late afternoon and evening are left free for private exploration.(Optional activity: visit the Registan light show).Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 18: Samarkand

After breakfast we take a 10 minutes ride above the Afrasiyab remains and archaeological expedition, visit “Afrasiyab” museum and observatory of “Ulugbek”. Lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch we will have time to explore the Samarkand’s silk paper workshop “Meros”. Optional: to visit the “Xorvenko” old wineries. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 19: Samarkand – Bukhara (300 km)

After breakfast check-out and transfer to railway station to depart to Bukhara. After arrival to Bukhara transfer to the hotel and enjoy your free time. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 20: Bukhara

We start our city tour at 9 amby visiting Bukhara’s old centre, taking in the main square, the impressive mausoleum Ismail Samanid, Chashma-i Ayub mausoleum, Bolo Khauz Mosque and the Ark, a Citadel, which was rebuilt many times are amongst other highlights. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we also visit Minaret Kalian, Mosque Kalian, Madrassah of Miri-Arab, Madrassah of Ulughbek, Madrassah of Abdulazizkhan and Hanaka & Madrassah of Nadir Divan Begui. Bukhara is one of the most ancient centres of Uzbekistan. We cross a spectacular city centre, where we can see the caravan sarays and silk markets and workshops. Diner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 21: Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we take a ride by our bus to visit the summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara, Ensemble of Bakha-ad-Din Nakshband, Chor minor. Lunch is served at a local restaurant and transfer to your beautiful hotel. The evening is left free to explore the cities lively nightlife and excellent panorama. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 22: Bukhara – Khiva

After breakfast we will leave for Khiva. The travel time is approximately 6-7 hours. On our way to Khiva, which it was a historical route, which was originally crossed by camel Caravans we will stop off to see the Kyzyl-Kum Desert and have a lunch at “Chayxana”, a local Tea house. Arrival to Khiva and transfer to the hotel. The late afternoon and evening are left free for private exploration. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 23: Khiva

After breakfast we will pay a visit to Kunya-Ark Fortress (Castle Khana), Ichan Kala, Tower Kalta Minor, Madrassah Muhammad Amin Khan, Juma Mosque with 212 wooden supports and Minaret, Tash Khauli, the Mosque Ark, the Minaret of Islam Khodja, the Minaret of the main Vizir and Caravansaray of Allakhuli-Khan. Lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch visit the Memorial of Pakhlavan Makhmud, Khiva Bazaar and the craft centers of Khiva. The evening is left free to relax or explore you surrounds as you see fit. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 24: Khiva – Urgench – Tashkent (by train)

Visit outsight of Khiva. Pay a visit to Nurulla bai Saray and Khiva Bazaar. Lunch is served on the shores of the lake. We taste of the fish from “Amudarya”. Transfer to the train station. Saying goodbye to our driver. Leave for Tashkent by the night train. Take a train to Tashkent at 14:35. Overnight in the train.

Day 25: Tashkent – Europe

07:08 Arrival to Tashkent at 07:07. Meeting at the train station. After breakfast in the city transfer to the hotel  or airport depending on the available flight.
