Fergana Valley is one of the most beautiful areas of the oasis with territory of 22000 square km and 7 million population. The Fergana Valley is formed below the Tien Shan Mountains to the north and the Gissar Alay Mountains to the south. This has been the agricultural center of Central Asia for the last several thousand years. It is well known for its cotton, fruits and raw silk. It is one of the most densely populated regions of Central Asia. It is situated primarily in Uzbekistan and partly Kyrgystan and Tajikistan as well, which includes the cities of Khujand, Kokand, Fergana, Margilan, Namangan, Andijan, Osh, and Jalalabad.

Day 1: Tashkent – Kokand – Margilan (400 km)

Day 1: Tashkent – Kokand – Margilan (400 km)

After breakfast transfer to the train station. At 08:05 take train to Fergana. Arrival to Kokand at 12:00. Kokand was the capital of region before the Russian occupation. This city is located along the Silk Road at the period of medieval age. Moreover, Fergana is a famous city with its artisans which allows you to get best shots of Uzbekistan. Lunch will be served at the knife master workshop. Visit knife workshop and you will get a tour along the palace of Khudayar-Khan and amazing mosque with 99 wooden columns. Leave for Margilan, arrival and accommodation at the “Adras House” hotel. Dinner will be organized in one of local restaurants. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Margilan – Rishtan – Margilan

Breakfast at the hotel. Margilan is one of the ancient and biggest cities in the Fergana Valley. Fergana was built in the XX centuries, which is situated 25 km far from Margilan. We will visit Margilan and the ancient textile factory “Ikat”, which is very famous with its silk even at present time. The women in the factory work by the old manner, i.e. by hand. You can see all the point of the using to cocoon and making the silk. Walking tour around the central park of Fergana. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Drive to Rishtan, which is a village of ceramists. We will stop off to visit the ceramics workshop. The afternoon is left free to enjoy your free time. Dinner. The overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Margilan – Qumtepa bazaar – Tashkent (400 km)

After the breakfast drive to visit Real Asian Market, which is called “Qumtepa Bazaar”, but it is only open on Thursdays and Sundays. So, it depends on your arrival day too. Why you are recommended to visit Qumtepa over Kokand? Because you will have an opportunity to witness the real local life. After lunch return to the hotel and get your luggage and transfer to the train station. Leave for Tashkent at 14:56 by train. Arrival to Tashkent at 20:18. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner at the restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.
