“Uzbekistan, the Pearl of Central Asia” tour package’s itinerary includes visits to many Uzbekistan’s magnificent landscapes and discover classic experiences in this nonstop 12 day tour. Uzbekistan is the most famous country with its ancient and fabulous cities, like Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Tashkent, which are coeval and much more famous than Egypt’s pyramid. The desert around Nurata and Aydarkul where we stop overnight at yurt camp, dominate the landscape. Explore the lake Aydarkul and meet with local people to open new experience about Uzbek culture. Day 1: Europe – Istanbul – Tashkent (Turkish airline)

Flight to Tashkent.

Arrival Day. Upon arrival to Tashkent International Airport you will be met by one of “Trip Orient” representatives and transfer to the beautiful hotel, where you will spend a night.

 

Day 2: Tashkent

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we start our first city tour of Tashkent. We begin our sightseeing tour from visiting the Independent Square and Amir Temur Square, which are located in new part of the city. We continue our tour by visiting the old part of the city through paying a visit to Kukeldash madrassah, which was built by foster-brother and “Chorsu” bazaar. Lunch at a local restaurant. We continue our trip by paying a visit touristic attractions: Khast-Imam complex, the madrasah of Barak-Khan, where the Uthman Qur’an (it is one of the four original books, which was published in VII century) is kept, the mosque Tilla-Shaiyh and the mausoleum of Kaffel-Shashi, as well. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva (the distance between last two cities is 30km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and transfer to domestic airport to catch an early morning flight to Urgench at 07:00 am. Arrival to Urgench at 08:50am. Transfer to hotel, it takes around 40 minutes to get to Khiva, the distance is 19 miles (30 km). Visit Kunya-Ark Fortress, Ichan Kala, Tower Kalta Minor, Madrassah Muhammad Amin Khan, Juma Mosque with 212 wooden supports and Minaret, Tash Khauli, the Mosque Ark, the Minaret of Islam Khodja, the Minaret of the main Vizir and Caravansaray of Allakhuli-Khan. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch pay a visit to the Memorial of Pakhlavan Makhmud, Khiva Bazaar and the craft centers of Khiva. Dinner at a local restaurant. The evening is left free to relax or explore surroundings by yourself. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Khiva – Bukhara

After breakfast drive to Bukhara. Travel time is 6-7 hours by bus to get to Bukhara. On our way to Bukhara, which is located on a historical road and originally crossed by camel Caravans, we will stop off to have a look at Kyzyl-Kum Desert closely and have lunch at “Chayxana”, a local Tea house. Arrival to Bukhara and transfer to the hotel. The late afternoon is left free for private exploration. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Bukhara

At 9 am after the breakfast, we begin our guided city tour by visiting Bukhara’s old center, taking in the main square, the impressive mausoleum of Ismail Samanid, Chashmai Ayyub, Bolo Khauz Mosque and the Ark Citadel, which was rebuilt many times are amongst other highlights. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we continue our visit to Minaret Kalian, Mosque Kalian, Madrassah of Mir Arab, Madrassah of Ulughbek, Madrassah of Abdulazizkhan and Hanaka & Madrassah of  Nadir Divan Begui. Bukhara is one of the most ancient cities of Uzbekistan. We cross a spectacular city center, where we can see the caravan sarays and silk markets with workshops. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we start our bus tour to pay a visit to the summer residence of Bukhara Emir, Ensemble of Bakha-ad-Din Nakshband and Chor minor complex. Lunch at a local restaurant and return to the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. The evening is free to explore the cities lively nightlife and excellent panorama. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Bukhara – Nurata – Yangi Gazgan – Aydarkul

After breakfast we will drive to Nurata. We pay a visit to the historical complex of fortress, which was built by Alexander the Great. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we head to Yangi Gazgan, which is a village of shepherds by the shores of Aydarkul. We drive to the bench of Aydarkul and enjoy swimming on the Lake. Then we move to yurt camp, where we will admire the Kyzyl Kum desert with its amazing views and mehari tour. Dinner at the Yurt camp. The evening is left free for private exploration.

Day 8: Aydarkul – Ukhum

Breakfast at the Yurt camp. Departure by car to Ukhum village, which is located along the Aydarkul lake and at the footsteps of Nurata mountains. The road goes around the lake through Ukhum village, which incorporates villages, situated in the South of the lake. You will have a look of Ukhum and other villages in that area: Sintop, Temirqovuq, Qizilcha and Yangiqishloq. A great majority of population there are ethnic tajiks.Lunch at a local homestay. After lunch we do some excursion in Ukhum village. Dinner and overnight stay at a local homestay.

Day 9: Ukhum – Samarkand

After breakfast we drive to Samarkand and on our way to Samarkand we will make a stop to admire the mausoleum of Imam al-Bukhari. After arrival to Samarkand, transfer to the hotel and have a lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we start out city tour by visiting the Reghistan Ensemble (Tilla-kari, Sher-dor and the Ulug-bek madrasahs), which has a magnificent view and named as the business card of Uzbekistan. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Samarkand

At 9 am we start guided city tour of Samarkand by visiting the old center, taking in the main square, the impressive Bibi-Khanume mosque, which was rebuilt after a Russian conquest in 1870. We also pay a visit to Shakhi-Zinda necropolis, which is probably one of the most significant religious complexes in Samarkand and monuments of unique architecture in whole Central Asia. Lunch at a local restaurant. We continue our tour by visiting local Siyab Bazaar with its amazing colorful oriental shops and markets. The late afternoon and evening are left free for private exploration.(Optional activity: visit the Registan light show). Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Samarkand – Tashkent

After breakfast check-out but we can leave our luggage at the hotel and start our tour by visiting Afrasiyab remains and archaeological sightexpedition site. We also pass through “Afrasiyab” museum and observatory of “Ulugbek”. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we will have time to explore Samarkand’s silk paper workshop “Meros”. We take our luggages from hotel then transfer to the railway station at 17:00. Arrival to Tashkent and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12: Tashkent

Transfer to the airport.
End of the “Pearl of Uzbekistan” tour.
