Tashkent is one of the biggest cities of the Central Asia. It has been capital of Uzbekistan since 1930. The first information about Tashkent is dated back to the 2ed century BC. In the ancient inscription is named as “Choch”, “Shosh”. This is city that comes to existence in ancient times, at present it is modern city named “Tashkent”. It means “Tash- stone, kent- town”. Tashkent is located to the north-east of Uzbekistan, Tien Shan range to the west between Sirdarya. Today Tashkent, with a population of over two-and-a half million people, is one of the largest city of Central Asia, but also political, industrial, intellectual and cultural center of this region.
