Journey to Iskandar-Kul & Sacred Bukhara

Arrival to Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. Drive to Iskandar-kul and have lunch on the bench of the lake. Walk to the waterfall “Niagara” of Fans. Homestay at the village of Saratog (2300 km), located not far from Iskandar – kul.

After breakfast start hiking through Dukdon underpass (3810 km), where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of mountain. Picnic in the open air. Continue our trip, which takes 5-6 hours walking. Dinner and overnight stay in the tent camp.

After breakfast we will cross Dukdon pass (3300), where we will enjoy the glaciers of Dukdon. Picnic in the open air. Continue walking towards Sarikhadang. Dinner and overnight stay at the tent camp.

After breakfast start walking through the river Archamaydon and Pishti-kul, where you will meet with the locals, who live in the yurts. Picnic in the open air. Dinner and overnight stay in the tent camp.

Climb through the Munora pass (3500 m), where we will be able to see Munora and the scale of Energiya (5120m), which is the highest point of Fans, Chimtarga (5489 m). Picnic in the open air. Continue walking tour 5-6 hours. Dinner and overnight stay in the tent camp.

Walking through the Tobasang pass (3300m) and have a picnic in the open air. Descend to the lake “Marguzor”(2400m), 6-7 hours by walking. On the shore of the lake we will take a bus. We drive to the Panjikent city (3 hours driving). Dinner and overnight stay at the homestay.

After breakfast transfer to Tajikistan-Uzbekistan check-point and head to Samarkand. Arrival to Samarkand and transfer to the hotel.

After breakfast starts the city tour at 9 am. We will pay a visit to the old center, taking in the main square, the impressive Bibi-Khanum mosque, which was rebuilt after a Russian conquest in 1870. We also visit Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis, which is probably one of the most significant religious complexes in Samarkand and monument of unique architecture in whole Central Asia. We also visit the local Siyab Bazaar with its amazing colorful oriental shops and markets. After lunch, we will visit Reghistan Square (Tilla-kari, Sher-dor and Ulug-bek madrasah), which gives a magnificent view to Samarkand. The late afternoon and evening are left free for private exploration. (Optional activity: visit the Registan light show). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast we take a 10 minute ride above the Afrasiyab remains and archaeological expedition, and also visit “Afrasiyab” museum and observatory of “Ulugbek”. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we will have time to explore the Samarkand silk paper workshop “Meros”. Transfer to the railway station and take the bullet train “Afrasiayb” to Bukhara. Arrival to Bukhara and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast pays a visit to the outside of Bukhara: the summer residence of last Emir of Bukhara, Ensemble of Bakha-ad-Din Nakshband, Chor minor. Lunch is served at a local restaurant and transfers to your beautiful hotel. Dinner is served at a local restaurant. The evening is free to explore the cities lively nightlife and excellent panorama and have experience the old Hammam (bathhouse). Overnight stay at the hotel.

Start city tour at 9 am by visiting the old center, taking in the main square, the impressive mausoleum Ismail Samanid’s, Chashmai Ayyub, Bolo Khauz Mosque, and the Ark, a Citadel which was rebuilt many times. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we also pay a visit to Minaret Kalian, Mosque Kalian, Madrassah of Mir Arab, Madrassah of Ulughbek, Madrassah of Abdulazizkhan, and Hanaka & Madrassah of Nadir Divan Begui. Bukhara is one of the most ancient centers in Uzbekistan. We cross a spectacular city center where we can see the caravan sarays and silk markets and workshops. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, we will depart to Khiva. We drive about six-seven hours till Khiva. On our way, we will make some pause to get acquainted with  Kyzyl-Kum Desert and have lunch at local “Chayxana”, a Tea house. Arrival to Khiva and transfer to the hotel. The late afternoon and evening are left free for private exploration. Dinner is served at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast start a morning guided tour. We will pass through the entrance gate of fortress “Ata Darvaza” in Itchan – Qala and visit the following attractions: Kunya-Ark, Said Alauddin Mausoleum, Arab-Mukhammadkhan Madrasah, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, the minaret of Islam-Khoja, Tash-Khovli, the Palace and Khan’s Harem, Kaltaminar, Juma mosque, Caravan saray as well as the local bazaar in nowadays. Lunch. After lunch transfer to the airport at 14:00 and take a domestic flight to Tashkent. Arrival to Tashkent and transfer to the international airport.
