Fergana is one of the most beautiful areas of the oasis with a territory of 22000 square km and 7 million population. The Fergana Valley is formed below the Tien Shan Mountains to the north and the Gissar Alay Mountains to the south.
The Aral Sea is lying between Kazakhstan (Aktobe and Kyzylorda Regions) in the northern side Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan (autonomous region) in the south. The word Aral means ''an island''. In the previos times, it was one of the four largest lakes in the world with an area of 68,000 km2 (26,300 sq mi).
